Johnny found fame on the streets of Rome during the renaissance period as one of Leonardo Da Vinci's stage models.
Environmentally sound
In 1988, Johnny took part in a charity single entitled 'Spirit of the Forest', which drew attention to the world's fast-disappearing tropical rainforests. Here's Johnny (right of shot) singing alongside Dave Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Bruce Foxton (The Jam), Andy Partridge (XTC) and Jon Anderson (Yes). Other participants included Brian Wilson (The Beach Boys), Thomas Dolby, Lenny Kravitz, Debbie Harry (Blondie), Kate Bush, Ringo Starr (need you ask?), Iggy Pop and Fish (Marillion).
